We use the latest secure server technology to ensure your information is protected to the highest standards. We use encryption to safeguard your personal information and only accept orders from web browsers that permit communication through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology - this means you cannot inadvertently place an order through an unsecured connection. Most modern web browsers support this security. This encryption makes it virtually impossible for unauthorized parties to read any information that you send us. The encryption technique we use is the highest standard available for e-commerce. Our website is also in compliance with PCI vulnerability standards in order to create as secure of an environment as possible for our customers.

What information do we collect?
- When you purchase from us at Eplekort.no we ask for, and collect, personal information. We will ask for and collect your name, billing address, telephone number (in some cases), email address, preferred language on our site, items ordered and payment details. We will also gather information regarding your IP address. We use a ip-to-geo service from MaxMind, Inc. to find out geographic location based on that ip address. We also gather information pertaining to the name and location of your credit card’s issuing bank by extracting the BIN portion from your credit card number (first 6 numbers). We also store the last 4 numbers on the card for card reference purposes. We never store your full credit card number or any other credit card info.
- If you set up an online account with us, we will also store your password.
- If you sign up to receive offers and announcements via email, we will store your email address, name, address and country at iContact which is our email marketing platform. When you purchase on our website we will use your personal information to create a profile based on the information we receive about you. This is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests in ensuring we have accurate information about you in one place and to combat fraud. We create your profile in accordance with your preferences in order to provide you with the best personalized experience, to send you personalized marketing announcements and offers and for opinion research purposes. Furthermore, on the basis of legitimate interest, we have the right to follow up with an email message asking for feedback from you from your last purchase. At any time you are able to unsubscribe to our emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email sent from us.
- Eplekort.no and third-party providers of advertisements - in our case Google AdWords, may also collect information regarding your visit to Eplekort.no. This may include where you are geographically, how you were referred to us (e.g. search engines or email marketing), your browser and device type, the pages you viewed, the duration of your visit and any search terms used. This information may be collected even if you do not register an account with us.
We use this information to make your shopping experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.
- To process your order including delivery, payment and returns.
- Online account holders require an email address and password to access their account.
- To send you, updates, special offers and promotions that may be of interest if you have consented for us to do so or we believe may be of interest to you. You may opt-out of receiving these messages at any time.
